If the consequences weren’t so serious it would be funny: While climate change ideologues are running around warning us about the dangers of global warming, the earth actually appears to be FREEZING! Record cold temperatures are occurring worldwide. I have lost track of the number of global warming conventions, conferences and seminars that have been snowed out, or at least hindered by severe winter weather. The Drudge Report has recently contained the following headlines:
Britain facing one of coldest winters in 100 years…
East Coast Faces Deep Freeze; Florida Oranges Threatened…
Fourth Death Related To Cold in Chicago…
Winter Could Be Worst in 25 Years for USA…
3 Deaths Due To Cold in Memphis…
Vermont sets ‘all-time record for one snowstorm’…
Iowa temps ‘a solid 30 degrees below normal’…
Seoul buried in heaviest snowfall in 70 years…
Historic ice build-up shuts down NJ nuclear power plant…
Midwest Sees Near-Record Lows, Snow By The Foot…
Miami shivers from coldest weather in decade…
Death toll rises to 22 in UK’s biggest freeze for 30 years…

Not being a scientist myself, I am forced to rely upon the findings of others when it comes to the global warming controversy. This includes the debate over the specific theory of anthropogenic global warming. I have tried to be objective and reasonable in my evaluation of all of the evidence and arguments relating to this subject. However, recent weather and climatic realities are making it difficult for me to believe some of things that we are being so forcefully taught. The claims of the global warming community are coming up against the cold hard reality that, well… it is real COLD and it is getting COLDER!
Al Gore and others confidently insist that man-caused global warming is responsible for drastic shifts in weather patterns, thus increasing the number and intensity of hurricanes [well, except for this past year, which was mild] and even causing periods of unusually cold weather.
Again, not being a scientist myself, and being forced to trust the intelligence, training and experience of the “scientists” and climatologists who posited these theories, I, for some time now, have accepted at least the possibility that their explanations of climate change might be true. Common sense and simple observation are now causing me to question my confidence in the scientists and their weather models. I am more and more asking the painfully obvious question: How can the earth be warming if it is getting colder? I know what many scientists say, that global warming may result in some periods of cooling, so how about this question: How long must a cooling period be before it ceases to be the result of global warming? When does it become global cooling? How long shall we continue to equate record setting cold temperatures and snowfalls with global warming? How can the globe be warming if it is cooling?
Perhaps these are just silly questions. I wouldn’t know. I’m not a scientist.
