It really is a shame that the government is trying to make criminals out of otherwise law-abiding citizens, rather than allowing people to defend themselves from those who would do harm to them or their families. When I say it's a shame, I don't mean, "oh, that's too bad," but that this is truly shameful that they would even consider this.
