Joe Biden claimed that he never imagined in his “wildest dreams” that the stimulus plan would work as well as it has. This gives us some insight into the nature of Joe Biden’s “dreams.” Joe’s “wildest” dreams must be dreams in which very little actually happens. They must be quite tame and mundane. Like the government stimulus plan, Joe’s “wildest dreams” are of little consequence. They make no lasting impression, have no lasting results and have little impact.

A real “stimulus” plan would have been a plan that stimulated actual growth. I talk to a lot of entrepreneurs and small business owners and they all tell me the same thing: tax cuts, or at least the assurance of no tax increases or additional “fees” is what they want if they are to expand their business, hire workers, and in some cases, just keep their present workers! There is plenty of income potential in our economy, but a government burdened people eventually reach a point when additional work and risks simply aren’t worth their effort. Why take greater risks and work harder if it only results in the government confiscating and then wasting the fruits of our labor? This is why neither socialism nor communism can work – they are simply too dispiriting for the human mind to accept. The same is true of the economic slavery that occurs when a government becomes so large that it strains the resources of its people. Sadly, that’s where we are today in America.
