Alinsky, Obama and the Devil

Some are rightly drawing attention to the Obama administration’s implementation of Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” (tactics for social engineering, community organizing and action). It is quite obvious that Barack Obama, Rahm Emanuel and David Axlerod are using these methods in order to accomplish their political agenda. They rely, in particular, on Alinsky’s “Rule #12,” which reads,

“Rule 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)”

This is exactly what the Obama political machine (including the Obama-friendly press) is doing to their critics, and particularly to those who are critical of Obama’s plan for government-controlled health care. Average citizens are being maligned and ridiculed for their opposition to the plan. Town-hall attendees are dismissed as being “angry mobs” of “right-wing radicals” and “fanatics.” Opponents of the so-called “public option,” that is so highly touted by Obama and others on the far left, are being accused of “not caring for the poor.” Obama has even invoked the Bible, accusing people of “bearing false witness” when they describe questionable aspects of the bill, such as bureaucratic death panels (House bill) and care rationing (which happens with all known government health care systems).

Alinsky’s “Rule #12″ is being used in this mischaracterization of responsible, informed, hard-working Americans, and this Alinsky/Obama tactic reminds me of someone else who has effectively employed this tactic throughout the centuries – the Devil! The word “devil” (diabolos) means slanderer, accuser. John described the Devil as “the accuser of our brethren” (Rev. 12:9, 10).  The Bible teaches that truth-speakers will be “evil spoken of” by the Devil’s followers (Matthew 5:11; 1 Peter 2:12; 3:16). Alinsky’s rule number 12 actually originated with the Devil. When Obama and his staff use Alinsky’s rule to belittle and marginalize their opponents, they are behaving like Satan.

  1. I find it interesting that since the bill has been made public, many opponents of it have been citing from the text of the bill, showing why the legislation should be opposed.

Those who are pushing this through are not citing it, reading from it, or directing people to it. They are just telling people what they believe they want to hear. Anything to temper the opposition just enough to allow them to pass it.

The more people who know what’s really in it, the more people who oppose it, and Obama and his followers know it. So they’re doing anything they can to keep people in the dark just long enough.

  2. How more true is this becoming now?

Rush, FoxNews, Insurance Companies, Wall Street, US Chamber of Commerce…..

The Agitator in Chief is agitating any opposition whatsoever.

    It will backfire.
